Noooo! I can't do that! It was a really tricky one for me to play and - apart from the squeaks - the track sounds great! They will have to stay in

Not so much mate, no. I'm not sure I did a narrow bandwidth cut right anyway, but whatever I have tried (DeEsser, parametric eq) just seems to take all the brightness out of the track without doing much to the squeaks.

Thanks mate, but I have conversion software, so I'll do it myself
That's what I meant, though: after I convert it back will it have lost something? If not, then great!
I mixed a new version of Family Album in Cubase today. I used Audio Damage extensively and the track sounds great! I'm almost enjoying doing this mixing malarky now
How has your day been?

Mate, I only have For Her as a 320kbps MP3. Do you think that will make much difference when it comes to mastering?

Thanks Martin, your keen ear serves you well. We tried hard to fix the piano sound and the way it stands now is the best we could get it. My fault though for playing with the sustain down ..and by the time they found this out I was already back home so couldn't re-record it
Thanks for listening!
